The Board 2.0 introduces a new concept of links which are referred to as soft-links and strong links.

The soft-link can be mapped to a Jira dependency link, just like other dependencies in the app in the Link configuration.

Feature

Description

Correct links (healthy dependency)

The healthy dependencies are presented when the successor is planned in the same (orange lines) or future (green lines) timebox (Program Increment or Iteration).

Incorrect links (unhealthy dependency)

The unhealthy dependencies are indicated with a red coloured line, when the successor is planned in the previous timebox (Program Increment or Iteration).

None

Dependencies are not displayed.

All

All dependencies are displayed.

Linking cards using soft-links

Soft-links can be created using drag and drop or by clicking on the link loop which appears on the right edge of the card when you hover over the card with the mouse pointer.

Linking cards using strong-links

Strong-links can be only created by clicking on the link loop which appears on the right edge of the card when you hover over the card with the mouse pointer.

Such links can be visualised also using the Gantt module. To learn more about strong links go to Task dependencies - Link types.
